Overview
Over the last decade, we’ve worked on numerous engineering projects with this customer, the largest manufacturer of commercial lighting solutions in the UK. We developed designs using the latest Solid Edge/Autodesk 3D CAD and created prototypes in Fortus 360 printer using ABS M3 Material. We support their in-house design team with our own expertise and in-house resources - flexibly, collaboratively and economically, getting to the heart of their briefs and inventing ways to bring their ideas into being.

Results
- Challenge
Working on a project for Manchester Airport, we designed a fixing system for one of our customer's current aluminium extrusions, which enabled them to produce a 2m Hexagon LED light fittings.
- Solution
Our design and development team developed a corner fixing system to be used in one of their large extrusion systems to create a Hexagonal LED light fitting.
- Outcome
After samples were approved, we machined the prototype from aluminium extrusion to the customer’s specification; cutting, machining, pressing and finished in black anodising and assembly. We then put the model into full scale production, machining hundreds of these components on our 4 axis CNC centres each month.
